  1. Hi Sir/Madam

I and my husband from Mexico registered our marriage cert at Khet Prakhanong Office in Bangkok. Unfortunately, we lost 1 of our marriage cert. Is there any possibility that we can obtain another marriage cert? If yes, can you please advise which docs that we need to prepare in advance? We've been trying to call the office many times but nobody answered. We really need 1 more copy for my immigration purpose?
    Please advise.

    Thanks.
    Best regards
    Elly

  2. My fiancee cannot find her deceased husband's death certificate. Where can we obtain a duplicate copy? In which office are the Register of Deaths held? My fiancee lives near Nong Chok (MinBuri)

    Thank you.

    1. She may obtain a copy of her late husband's death certificate from the district office where the death was registered. She will need to bring proof of their relationship in order to obtain a copy.

  3. My wife and I were married in Bangkok on April 1 2009. The British Passport office have lost our marriage certificate and we are very sad. Is it possible to obtain a replacement please? We are willing to pay for it if necessary.

I do not remember from which Registration Office in Bangkok it was issued. The only records I have are the stamp numbers on the two "Affirmation Of Freedom To Marry" forms. These are:

174XXX and 174XXX for my wife Maria,
174XXX and 174XXX for me, Simon.

Please could you advise me how we can apply for a replacement marriage certificate. Many thanks for your time.

    Kind regards,
    Simon Marriott

    1. You may obtain a copy of your marriage registration documents from any amphur (district office) in Thailand so long as your marriage was electronically recorded. If you are unable to do this in person, we have lawyers who may be able to assist you in obtaining copies.

Your information has been forwarded to our lawyers. Kindly await for an email regarding the procedure.

  4. How long does it take to complete the registration process? My wife works on weekdays, so time is of the essence. Just the Bangkok Khet registration, nothing else. Thanks.

    1. Generally, marriage registration can take between 7 working days to a month depending on your nationalities.
